Week of Goodness
Redeeming our hostages through good deeds
The families of all the hostages have been running to the ends of the earth to do everything possible to help save our loved ones. But we have yet to see the result we want. We have decided to dedicate one week - from July 14th to July 21st - to surge goodness into the world.Below are some of the efforts we will be undertaking - volunteering, studying, giving charity, praying, singing, and more. Join us, or commit to your own benevolent actions. We are living in a fractured period, and our beloved hostages are in unimaginable darkness. Help us to repair and bring more light into the world.Join us! Share your own initiatives here!

Together we can do great things
Worldwide Limud (study)
We want to complete the entire Tanach (the Jewish Bible), which includes the Torah (the Five Books of Moses), the Neviim (the Prophets), and Ketuvim (the Writings) in 24 hours.
Together we can accomplish this great endeavor.

Hachnasat Sefer Torah (Inauguration of a Torah scroll)
The family of hostage Hersh Goldberg-Polin is commissioning the writing of a new Torah. The family invites you to dedicate the new scroll with song and prayer. The procession will begin at 8:00 PM (Israel time) at the Bnei Akiva Baka branch on Yehuda Street 37, in Jerusalem and end at the Baka Community Center on Issachar Street 3, in Jerusalem.

Hafrashat Challah
This is believed to be a special time for prayer and we have been so grateful to the many communities all over the world who have been doing Hafrashat Challah for the hostages. This week we want to honor each of the hostages by hosting an event in their name. For this we need 120 Hafrashot Challah to take on the plight of one of the hostages, learn their story and dedicate your gathering to their release. Sign up here to help us honor each of the 120 hostages still in captivity.

Bringing in a Shabbat of Blessings
Every week the Family Forum tent at Azza/Balfour in Jerusalem holds a musical Kabbalat Shabbat at 4pm and traditional Kabbalat Shabbat services around candle lighting. Some of the family plans to attend services this Friday night at 19:30.
